Elder Kappa, tribute sculpt to SpiderZero

The kit is now complete.



It is assembled and received a nice layer of Tamiya primer earlier tonight.


No finger left, start with your toes, you won't have to wait much longer .

This is realy a great cast! I wish I could do the same when it will my time too!

Painting is just one step ahead.



I thought again and again about the base, the space was too empty, it missed something. I tried to figure if it was either grass or anything else, then I tried with another piece of wood from the same dead tree as the first one. It fits perfectly. I'll have to work on the lower part, but it should do just fine









I glued it all together. It will be harder to paint but it is the best way to get an easy pinning ( I drilled through the flesh to the shell, 1/2cm pins from different angles ).

End is near, my friends !

At this point of the wip I can say that I totally like this project,
I can see something very gloomy and the third photo is one of my favorite from what I can see.

But the limit for submission is the 15 jan. And the sculpture has to be there, I'm not sure I can make it this year.

There is a reason behind this, and when it happend like that, this is some kind of things that could change some other things.

Impressive work and very well done. The Kappa is very "western" (which isn't a bad thing, I really like your style).

it's a fantastic work.
I like this universe and the sculpture. There is a mystical aspect on the diorama that make it real.

Whoua.... that's a very gooed paint job on this eye. This destroyed and purulent eye is very nice.

Petit UP d'un vieux topic. Je me refais une petite version, Kappa 2.0




Avec pour vous, un timelapse de ma session peinture dominicale. J'ai perdu pas mal de temps au pinceau, et j'ai fait quelques mauvais choix qu'il va falloir que je corrige du coup ... ( les lèvres, affreuses !)

Voici quelques photos de ma séance de cette nuit. Je suis pas loin de l'avoir fini ( reste les griffes et une ou deux retouches ça et là).

Je suis parti sur une créature plus morbide ( blanc, couleur de la mort et du deuil), tout en y incorporant des motifs naturels de batracien pour rendre l'ensemble plus vivant. Je le vois plus comme une vision éthérée de la créature, même si il semble qu'il soit fait de chair et mortel.

Je suis ultra fan de l'oeil qui a un aspect marbré/saurien je-ne-sais-quoi.
Ptêtre pas hésiter à bosser encore plus de dégradés,ya plein de surface et des veinages translucides par ci par là à l'occase?

Yes, belle approche et choix de couleur très pertinent,
verrais bien quelques voiles violines/chesnut pour contraster avec le vert du décor ( ...si il y en a bien sur, mais pour la V2 je verrais bien encore tes lentilles d'eau de la V1 )
J'aime bcp l'oeil droit et son iris horizontal...j'espere pouvoir le voir ce week end!
